Founders Day Camp 2026 (CAMPING)

Event information
Founders Day weekend is nearly here for all Cubs and Scouts, and all are invited to attend.
There are two options for attending the event;
(1) CAMPERS : those who want to camp for the weekend or
(2) DAY VISIT* : those who just come for the Saturday and enjoy all the fun activities that have been planned (parent pick up 5:30pm)
(*requires registration through the DAY VISIT event)
Some of the activities include:

- Blindfold maze
- Commando Course
- Square Croquet
- Giant Chess
- Rope making
- Screen printing
- Sherlock Holmes
- Dancing Man Code
- Sensory tent
- Outdoor games
- Low ropes
- Environment Team

0830 Registration
0930 Opening Parade
1000 Bases Open
1230 Lunch – Bases closed
1330 Bases reopen
1730 Bases close
1730 – 1930 – Freetime, dinner, showers
1930 Wide game
2030 Back to campsite
2130 Settling in for the night
2200 Lights out

0900 Scouts Own
0930 Special guests arrive
1100 Pack up
1130 Communal lunch
1230 Closing Parade
(return to hall expected 2pm-3:30pm for those carpooling)
Costs:
(1) CAMPERS
$30 (Scout event cost) + $20 (meals Friday supper to Sun lunch) = $50
(2) DAY VISIT
$15 (Scout event cost) + $5 (Sat lunch + snacks) = $20
Transport:
Own transport - but we will share any car pooling options closer to the date.
Accomodation:
Youth will be camping in tents (provided) but will need their own sleeping bag, mat, dilly bag etc (a packing list is attached)
**Special Notes**:
The Commando Course is water and mud- so pack clothes spare clothes and shoes accordingly. It's nice to have fresh clothes, shoes AND socks, after participating. Pack a few garbage bags too for stowing the muddy clothes for the journey home.
