We will be having a 24-hour Survival Camp starting with a hike leaving at 2:00pm from Kum Bah Yah Girl Guides Camp at 333 Mt Keira Road MT KEIRA and ending at 2:00pm Mt Keira Scout Camp 551 Mt Keira Road.  Dapto Venturers will also be at Mt Keira so we do some activities with them but camp separately.

Scouts will need to pack light as they will need to be self-sufficient for 24-hours and bring their own food, shelter and clothing. Scouts must make shelters as part of their Outdoor Activity Skills but can choose to sleep in a small tent.

We will work on finer details of what to bring next week, but Scouts must bring:

• Personal shelter - Small tent or tarp with something to tie it down.
• Food - Self-catered.  Scouts will need to provide their own food for 24 hours including snacks - they will share portable cookers and will also need to bring their dilly bags
• Water bottles - There is no drinking water at the camp ground so bring enough for the hike and to cook the first meal. Firey will supply drinking water at camp.
• Enough clothing for 24 hours - it may get very cold so bring something warm to sleep in.
• Full hiking pack - everything must fit in their pack, shelter, bedding, clothing, food, basic toiletries.

Cost: $10 for Camping (It is self-catered to make sure there is enough food for 24 hours)
